Getting Started

Three short steps take you from a fresh machine to a live WhatsApp feed in your terminal:

  1. Installation — install the Python and Node.js dependencies.
  2. Quickstart — connect WhatsApp and see your first events.
  3. Configuration — tune storage, database, AI providers, and the dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+
  • Node.js 18+ and npm (PyWacli uses Baileys under the hood for the WhatsApp connection)
  • A phone with WhatsApp installed, to scan the login QR code
  • (Optional) An S3 / R2 / B2 bucket if you want to sync media off-device
